Part-Time Cook or Chef

We’re looking for an additional part time cook or chef with a passion for clean food and locally sourced, organic ingredients to join our team in our rural, historic cafe and general store located in Loma Mar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas

• Work quickly, neatly, and efficiently

• Ability to stand on feet for an 8-hour shift and to lift up to 50 lbs

• Attention to detail with motivated attitude

• Work well with our diverse group of fun co-workers

• Able to work in a fast paced environment and initiative to take on food-making projects 

• Participate in the creation of our store-made food items for retail sales in our freezer and shelves

• Strong desire to learn and advance in your culinary skills

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

• Keen interest in clean food and using locally sourced, organic ingredients

• Understand kitchen costing and the minimization of waste

• Prior cooking experience preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
